Week1A: My Blog Theme

Hi everyone! 

When I was looking for a theme, I just wanted something easy and clear to work with. I love yellow, so I decided to go with a yellow-ish background color and keep the font as it is because I enjoyed how it looks! 

I thought that deciding on my theme photo was going to be an easy job, but I was wrong... I really wanted to incorporate the idea of a Blog representing myself and what I am/like.

First, I looked into the "Travel" options that the website has, since I live abroad and my favorite thing to do is pack up a bag and travel somewhere. I decided to go with a light blue Volkswagen van, because one of my dreams is to buy a van and hit the road. Although I liked the picture, I didn't think it really described me. So I had to go over my 24 thousand photos on my phone and do some serious research to find the so-called perfect theme photo. 

My eyes were looking for something that reminded home, like a picture of me in Brazil, or just a photo of one of the many paradise views the country has. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any since I haven't been there in so long, and cheating with a photo on google wasn't an option.

While I was scrolling I found really good photos from my trip to Europe, but somehow none of them had the right "size", so the website didn't support it. 

Then, I finally found a picture of the best vacations I ever had in Hawaii. At first, I had the same problem, the size didn't fit. But I really thought that this was the chosen one, so I send it from my phone over airdrop to my computer, then I had to screenshot it and only after that I could edit and cut it to make it a smaller size (there is probably an easier way to do all of that, but that's how I know how to do it - and it worked, so I guess I am doing something right). 

I love this picture, and I love that I could manage (with some extra efforts) to have it as my theme. 

It was all worth it!
