Week 10 Part A: Researching Email Marketing

For my business I think It would be interesting to send a weekly newsletter to our students. I think Friday is a good day since it's we can have a wrap up of the week or plans for the week ahead. I worked in a Jiu Jitsu gym in the past as the assistant manager and it was a good experience to learn about do and do not do at the gym in term of managing it. They didn't have a weekly newsletter but I always thought it would be interesting since the students created a community where they wanted to hear more information about the gym and get together when any event was happening. That is something that I could incorporate on my business. And not all students are obligated to be part of the newsletter, of course. When they sign up they can choose to receive information on their email or not when they sign the waiver of liability and provide their contact. I also think this is a good way to create a closer contact with the customer, if they want/are interested in receiving more info about the gym and their colleges, specially the kids and parents (kids can celebrate their birthdays at the gym, are always interested in small celebrations like fun Friday, crazy hair day...) and for adults it's interesting to share interesting advice from our coaches.

  3. Hey Larissa,

I totally agree with you that it is bothersome when businesses are trying too hard to get you to buy their products, instead, your approach is very welcoming and neutral. I also like your content ideas for the newsletter, you have a good amount of variation.
