Week 11 Part A: Marketing with Twitter, TikTok, Google for Business, LinkedIn, and more
For my business I believe that TikTok and Google for Business can be two platforms that might help with the marketing.
TikTok can be very helpful for promoting a persona - which is the coach of the gym. I found that this platform is the one that people are using more and more to find funny videos, helpful advices, business content. I don't believe it is the first place people look for information when they are looking for a new business, or if they want to check reviews, it is something more "chill"and useful just share something fun with professionalism rather than a "serious" content. Specially because on Tiktok people don't have the time to stop and read the information, they keep scrolling until they find something interesting.
If I set up an account on tiktok the content I would post would be videos of highlights at the gym, coaches, training, routines, followed by a "come check us out" or "visit us for a free trial", but I wouldn't share some important information such as schedule, hours or things related once people don't bother to read. They can easily jump on the next video if they don't find mine interesting.
In the other hand, I believe that Google for Business is a great too for my business. With this platform I can work a lot with things that are useful for a small business with a physical location.
First of all, I can share the address and images of the place - which is really relevant for a business. Location is crucial for a business to thrive once it can affect a lot on the clienteles choice of attending there. Access, parking, proximity to highways, other business are all important when someone decide to join a gym so I think with google business I can share the address and pictures of my location to facilitate that. Also, with the pictures I can also share the inside of the gym, showing the facilities and the space indoors. A mental picture is very important for a client to have an idea on what they are getting into, but having the real picture is even better.
With my business on google I can also have the times we are open, our phone number to call, the directions on maps and the website that will have more information about the gym. People can also request a quote of the services we provide, or book a time to come visit us for a free trial at the gym! I think all these tools are so helpful for a small business.
And last but not least, Google also has the reviews option, where people can give feedbacks of our services and new clients can read them and have wider idea of our service. Building a good reputation is also crucial for a small business - as we saw before in previous activities.
Quick videos for tiktok about your workouts would be awesome! I am always looking for new simple workouts that I can do at home.
ReplyDeleteHi Larissa!
ReplyDeleteThe way you compared the two platforms to decide which would be more effective for your company was great! Short videos showcasing the gym space would be a great way for people to see what it's like before coming!
