Week 14: Social Media Management Tools
I've done my research over social media management tools and I was surprised to find some apps that can be really helpful for business and their social media. The first one I looked up was Sprouts Social. It is an app that you can manage all your social media accounts in one place. It monitors the engagement, schedule the posts, shows analytics, provides insights over new trends and things that might be good to invest on posting. Everything sounded really helpful and something that could simplify the manager of the social media. The downside from it is that the app can be a little pricey, regardless of the plan, which starts with $89/month and goes up to $249, for a small business that is just starting and is on a budget, this can be an investment not tangible in the beginning. For me that wouldnt work, I believe its a high investment and it seems that bigger companies are the ones who are using it the most.
Hootsuite, on the other hand, offers free and less expensive options of plans, which of course has less features, but it can be worth to try. The idea is the same (well they are all created with the same goal - improve managing social medias). The options of subscription are less expensive than Sprouts Social, but seems like the service is the same. They are known for the quality of their analytics.
MeetEdgar is another social media tool that I found interesting too. It is nice to know that this is a female-owned business Their strenght isnt the analytics, but the fact that it can really help creating content and scheduling the posts, you can also have the app post things for you that is related to relevant topics (you provide what you think they should post, like a library) for you and your audience. This is a good tool for those with less time/money to manage their social media. I really like the concept of it and I think this is an investment that you can see where your money is going. I definitly think this could be helpful for my business, plus the plans are affordable.
Sendible is another option with a wide variety of social medias you can intregate on it. I don't think it is necessary for me to have all platforms they work with, such as google drive.
Buffer was picked as the most affordable ($5/month - really cheap). They don't integrate many platforms, but for me, like said previsouly, I dont think its necessary. Since its a small business, I prefer to invest on the most popular social media platforms and have a solid foundation and then I can think to expand. I believe this could work for my business as well.
Buffer sounds awesome! I didn't read up on that one, but $5 bucks a month is for sure in my budget. Especially since I'm just stating off.
ReplyDeleteSendible sounds interesting. Nice to know there are some that have a ton of social options supported like Drive. Let me
ReplyDeleteKnow if you decide to use any of them!
Hey Larissa,
ReplyDeleteI also noticed that the apps can be pretty pricey depending one which plan you get. Buffer definitely seems like a great option for small businesses that are just starting out and don't have the money to pay for expensive social media management tools yet.
Hey Larissa,
ReplyDeleteMeetEdgar seems interesting. I will definitely look more into since I'm always looking for different ways to post the same content on all my platforms from one app.
Hi Larissa, Thank you for the information on Buffer. That sounds like a deal!
