Week 16 Part A: Developing Your Marketing Strategy
After learning about many social media platforms and marketing strategy on them, I got to some conclusions on the path on digital marketing that I would follow.
Thinking about the variables that I have on my business, I can sort out the social medias I would use. The size of the gym is considered a small business, or our budget is not high - would need to put on paper the Business Plan with the marketing plan and budget for that, the employees (me) would manage the social medias (with help from tools that I researched on week 14). My business will probably spend a few hours daily with social media marketing, from planning to executing and analyzing the feedbacks/metrics for improvement. I would say 2-3 hours daily since we will integrate some different social medias instead of focusing on only one.
The social medias I think could work best for my business are:
- Website for the main information, schedule, prices, info about classes and coaches with location and phone number.
- Instagram to share photos, reels and stories about the gym, the students, events and seminars. The idea is to keep it fun and with interesting content for those who are signed up in the gym and the ones who are just curious.
- Email to have a newsletter and to provide help to customers and share important information such as events, parties happening on holidays, sales and promotions.
- Facebook, it will be linked with Instagram so it won't be the focus of the marketing but we will maintain it updated.
- Yelp for the reviews and feedbacks.
- Linkedin to share the coaches profiles.
- Google for Business, I think this tool is really important and helpful since it has so many inside tools to help working on the social medias.
- MeetEdgar, it is my favorite tool to help with metrics and statistics for the social media. I think it will be helpful to create posts and engage with the users.
- There is the possibility to create a Vlog or Podcast but thats something that it won't be the focus at first. So if we succeed with our marketing we can think about creating it afterwards.
Twitter and TikTok are the two social medias I don't feel enthusiasm about and I don't think they are necessary for my business.
